Our Purpose and Vision
As a community,
Saved by Jesus,
To Glorify God,
We will
· Gather to worship
· Grow in obedience
· Guide the lost
· Go and serve
by being
Rooted in the word,
Reliant on the Spirit, in
Relationship with Jesus Christ.
Our church began in Transcona in 1953, establishing itself first on Harvard Ave. E, then at 6 Kern Drive (1969) and now at 131 Victoria Ave. W. (since 2003) at the retrofitted Shop Easy store that served the Transcona community for so many years. The church was founded primarily by Dutch immigrants leaving the Netherlands after WWII seeking new employment and opportunities. As would be expected, the earliest immigrants attracted other people that they knew from the Netherlands who were looking for a church family and shared cultural connections.

We believe in Jesus Christ. We believe that God so loved the world that He sent His Son Jesus to die for us and bring us back into a never-ending relationship with Him.
We are part of a larger Christian movement that has its roots in the Protestant Reformation of the 16th Century in Europe. We accept the Bible as our authority for what God wants us to believe and how He wants us to live.
We believe that everyone who is in a relationship with God needs to be part of His family, the church. Our church is a small part of God’s growing family around the world.
Jesus invites you to believe in Him and enjoy a never-ending relationship with God. Jesus invites you to become part of His family….and ours too.
